This is a course which, while it can be attended as a stand-alone class, is intended as a completion of the IICRC WRT program. Students wishing to take the exam must have passed the IICRC WRT exam.
This course is 4 days long and can only currently be held in the UK at The National Flood School in Farnham in Surrey. To deliver this class, a house, meeting IICRC ASD curriculum specifications, must be flooded for students to dry. There is presently no other building in the UK or Europe which would meet the IICRC requirements for an approved IICRC ASD class that is available for flooding and drying by up to 16 students.
This is a hands-on experience for students who must dry a furnished house flooded with over 2,500 litres of water the day before they arrive and a further 3,000 litres of water on the day of arrival. The drying starts on the first day of the course. The house is expected to be acceptably dry by the fourth day.
There is an optional two hour exam at the end of this course providing the student an internationally recognised certification from the IICRC.
